My aim is to increase awareness of undiagnosed Adult ADHD. I believe it is more common than we currently realise and I believe early recognition and treatment would avoid a life time of internal anguish. On a grander scale I personally believe it would lead to a huge reduction in misdemeanours and behaviours that are not aligned with this neurotypical world…..a bold statement but one I deeply believe in.
The passion, energy and hyper focus of ADHD’ers is on another level and needs to be harnessed. I believe that if their particular interest is sparked their productivity will be on another level not seen in neuritypicals. This is a form of therapy for the individual too. A win win situation.
However put them in a position that is not conducive to their needs and interest and the productivity will be much reduced and it will also worsen the ADHD symptoms.
I have run businesses before and I would have no hesitation in employing those with ADHD who have a genuine interest in their preferred job role.
